With homecoming rapidly approaching, Liberty High School students are celebrating with Spirit Week during the week of September 27 through October 1. Spirit Week is kicked off with Tie Dye day on Monday, followed by Surfers vs Bikers on Tuesday, Color Wars on Wednesday, Decades Day on Thursday, and ending Friday with LHS Spirit Day and pep rally.

A question that may arise from the announced lineup is, “what is Color Wars?” Simply put, each grade level wears a different color. Freshman will wear red, sophomores will wear blue, juniors will wear white, and seniors will wear black.

After talking to a few students, it can be concluded that they are very excited for Spirit Week.

“I’m most excited to wear my favorite shirt on tie dye day,” said freshman Kendall Markgraf.

“I’m looking forward to planning cute outfits,” said freshman Amber Holbrook.

“I love participating, I’m most excited for Surfers vs. Bikers because I feel like I could pull off a biker,” said sophomore Christian Jordan.

Spirit Week will conclude with a pep rally at Eagle Stadium on Friday before the afterschool Homecoming Tailgate.
