Joining Eagle Nation is the new upcoming Mr. Beasley in the counseling department. Mr. Beasley was previously a substitute teacher for Liberty High School and other schools in the past. After substituting for a while and graduating in May to become an official school counselor, he became a counseling intern and he is now gonna be an official counselor here at LHS.

Mr. Beasley previously went to Hampton University during his freshman year, then transferred to Old Dominion University and finished there as an undergrad. He went to school for his undergrad music career and had three jobs after school. He will be finishing off at George Mason with his master’s degree and four schools. Mr. Beasley wasn’t just a counselor, he also has a non-profit organization and is an upcoming musician.

Mr.Beasley’s non-profit organization started in January of 2023. The name of this organization is “We Are the Stone House” It is a non-profit based on music and mental health therapy. Mr. Beasley’s overall goal is to have a mentorship program for adolescents. Currently, the organization is a podcast but Mr Beasley wants to incorporate his love for music and art as well as mental health.

Inspiration for Mr.Beasley’s career came from multiple people throughout his life, he realized he loved helping people out with their problems but didn’t wanna become an actual counselor until his mother became a counselor and he was exposed to multiple of her counseling friends. This is what inspired him to start his counseling career. First, he started by subbing as a teacher and then subbing as a counselor. He also went to school for his undergrad music career and had three jobs after school.

His goals right now are to continue to have his non-profit organization for music therapy and mental health and still be a counselor daily, his long-term goals are to either be in administration in high school or to teach psychology at an HBCU and then continue his non-profit business.

Outside of counseling Mr. Beasley’s hobbies are playing different instruments like drums, bass, and piano. After high school, he spent some time being a DJ. He also likes to shop. He loves shoes and has over 30 pairs of them. He loves basketball and has played ever since he was a little kid up into high school for his freshman and sophomore year at Battlefield high school, and he also loves hanging out with friends and fishing.

At the start of his career, Mr. Beasley was playing drums in high school for his church, but his first real job after school was working at an after-school program where he worked with kindergarten through fifth grade and was a counselor for them for about a year. Then worked at an alternative school and a mental hospital before moving on to his long-term goals.
