The Liberty Eagles cheerleading team has proven their dedication, skill, and spirit by winning the title of cheer district champ. After months of hard work and practice, they delivered a spectacular performance. They have shown that it’s possible to win that title through teamwork and hard work. The win not only shows their talent but also the strong team bond they have built together.
After winning districts the cheer squad went on to regionals and states. They won 1st place in regionals and 2nd place in the 4a division in states. Their relentless hard work and dedication have led them down the path to districts, regionals, and states. They often spend hours practicing stunts, tumbling, and perfecting their choreography. All of the Liberty cheerleaders and coaches have learned a lot from cheerleading. Coach Waddle (Harvey) has said, “Our kids tell us all the time, Liberty Cheerleading helped me accomplish my goals, helped me recognize the value of hard work, and dedication, helped me to know I could push myself and if I put in the hard work I will come out on the other end having accomplished my goals.”
Once the cheerleading squad won first place in district and regionals they went on to cheering at states. They had 1 week before states to get in all the practice that they needed to improve their routine. Once the day of states came they got up bright and early to get on the bus to VCU to compete. When they got there they got ready and they went to the mat and performed their routine. They amazed the crowd with their flips, stunts, tumbling, and dancing. They received awards and got 2nd place in the 4a division in the states. Everyone had a good time in the States and it was an amazing experience.
Cheerleading creates lasting memories and lifelong friendships that could last a lifetime. Everyone has shared practices, team meals, bus rides, cheering football and basketball, and being on competition mats together. These connections through cheering make you feel like you are a part of a family because of the tight bond that you share with your teammates. Ultimately, being on a team is an experience that you will want to take advantage of and teaches valuable lessons that can impact your life.
Ultimately, the Liberty cheerleading squad has shown their hard work by winning runner-up state champs. They spend hours practicing perfecting their routines to perform in front of a bunch of people. They all create lasting memories and friendships that will last them an eternity. Cheerleading is so much more than a sport. It builds trust in your teammates and helps push yourself past your limits, whether you are cheering on the sidelines or competing on the mat with your teammates.
