March is Youth Art Month! It’s a fantastic time to celebrate the many talented students in our school who are involved in the fine arts, which include art, music, and theater. How can you do that? Well, it’s quite easy!
This weekend, Liberty will be hosting the Fauquier County Fine Arts Festival, with lots of amazing artwork from every school on display and performances by musical ensembles. It will be a great time, and you might even see some of Liberty’s hardworking National Art Honor Society members behind the scenes helping make it all come together along with Liberty and other schools’ art teachers. You may also have noticed the traveling art show hanging in our halls. These works represent art from every school and travel around the county. Take a moment to stop by and admire the talent of the artists in our community.
Another way to celebrate is by seeing Grease at LHS during the first weekend in April! The cast has been hard at work preparing for an amazing performance, so be sure to support them.
Finally, you can indulge in some fine arts time of your own. Listen to music, embroider, paint, or sing. The possibilities are endless. You’ll feel relaxed afterward and connected with your inner artist.
Any way you look at it, Youth Art Month at Liberty High School is a spectacular month to celebrate what it means to be creative and to marvel at the talent of all the students in our county. Now, the only question is: how will you celebrate Youth Art Month?
