With fall coming up, that means Halloween is just around the corner. Getting ready for Halloween throughout fall can be exciting, especially with fun events to do during free time. This year, there are so many events going on, open to all and located all around Virginia. Check out some of the top events in the area that will help create a festive fall season for you and your family.
Liberty High School’s Trunk or Treat
On October 29th, Liberty High School is holding their annual trunk or treat at the school where people can dress up and go from station to station and get candy or play games. The stations are run by Liberty students clubs and sports teams.
Haunted Hallow
At Haunted Hallow, you can tour abandoned barns and trails at night. Haunted Hallow started in 2009, and is a very popular event in Warrenton, Virginia. Haunted Hallow started earlier this year, but still runs till October 26th.
Grace Miller Elementary Fall Fest
Grace Miller is holding their annual fall festival on October 17th from 5:00-6:30pm. There will be games, treats, and activities for the whole family. Anyone can volunteer for this event by bringing their cars and decorating them for kids to stop by for a truck or treat.
The Remington Fall Festival
If haunted houses aren’t your thing, the Remington Fall Festival offers a more laid-back way to enjoy the season. With music, food, a bake sale, smores, and much more, the Remington community is holding this event for a kick off to fall on October 11th, from 9:00am-3:00pm. This event will also have a shopping area set up by vendors, and are open to the public to shop.
Town of Warrenton
The town of Warrenton is holding a parade and truck or treat for Halloween on October 25th. The parade starts at 10am, while trunk or treat is later that day, from 2-4pm, at the Warrenton Aquatic and Recreation Facility (WARF). After trunk or treat, Rady park is holding a flashlight candy hunt, from 6:30-8:30pm.
Wilderness Halloween Festival
From 11am-4pm, on October 19th, Wilderness Presidential Resort is holding a festival that’s open to all. With trick or treat, laser tag, kids costume contest, car show, and food trucks open for the entirety of the day. Vendors can volunteer for booths to display their products.
Dead Whispers Haunted Attractions
The Fredericksburg fairgrounds are holding a Haunted Attractions from October 23rd through November first. Each day has a time set ranging from 6pm to 11pm. There will be different themed rooms, challenges, and eerie hallways. Afterwards, guests can enjoy drinks and food in a spine chilling atmosphere.
Buckland Haunted Farm
Buckland Farm Market in Warrenton is open for a haunted farm every Friday and Saturday in October, from 6pm to 11pm. This event will have a haunted trail, in a field of corn with abandoned buses, clowns, a haunted dollhouse and more.
