“Secret Invasion” will premiere on Disney+ on June 21. The show will see the return of fan-favorite characters while also introducing fans to brand-new characters.

This new series will follow Nick Fury, played by Samuel L. Jackson, as he learns of a growing invasion of Earth by a faction of alien beings called Skrulls. Fury will ally with Maria Hill (Cobie Smulders), Everett Ross (Martin Freeman), and the Skrull, Talos (Ben Mendelsohn), who as spent years building and protecting his life on Earth.

These four will have to work together to stop the threat of evil Skrulls invading Earth and save humanity before it gets wiped out. This show will also see the return of James “Rhodey” Rhodes, also known as War Machine, played by Don Cheadle.

Along with the fan-favorite characters already in “Secret Invasion,” this show will also introduce fans to some new notable characters.

Emilia Clarke is playing Skrull G’iah, Talos’ daughter. G’iah was last seen at the end of Captain Marvel, when she and her mother, Soren, were reunited with Talos. G’iah will play a pivotal role in this new show as her relationship with her father will be a factor in events happening in “Secret Invasion.”

Kingsley Ben-Adir is playing the villain of “Secret Invasion,” the Skrull, Gravik, the leader of an extremist Skrull faction tired of waiting for Fury to find the Skrulls a new home. Olivia Colman is playing Sonya Falsworth, an MI6 agent that will play a vital role in this show.

There are more new characters in this show, but at this point, it is hard to tell how important they will be to the overall plot.

The show is confirmed to take place in the present-day MCU. Marvel has not said if this show is set before, during, or after the events of Marvel Studios’ most recent movie, “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.”

It was revealed that “Secret Invasion” will most likely consist of six episodes.
