The long-awaited sequel “28 Years Later” revives the terrifying world first introduced in “28 Days Later” and “28 Weeks Later”. The film takes viewers on another heart-pounding journey through a world still ravaged by infection and chaos. “28 Weeks Later” and “28 Days Later”. The first movie that was produced for this series is “28 Days Later” and in this movie there were infected chimps that went crazy. One of the chimps bit someone after being released and caused an infection. Many people got infected and killed, there were various evacuations. Two characters in the movie died after getting infected, their names were Frank and Mark. Jim, Selene, and Hannah went to a military base for protection, but when the general had told Jim he needed the girls to get pregnant to restore the population, he tried to get them out. But got himself and another military officer tied up and was going to be put to death. Jim survived and got all the military men killed by some of the infected and left with Selene and Hannah.
In the movie, the main character Spike goes on his first trip to the mainland with his father. After coming back from the mainland and almost nearing death, Spike then finds out the truth that his father’s been lying about. During a party to celebrate Spike becoming a man and going on his first trip to the mainland. But it comes to a very sad turn when he sees his father cheat and lie about their being a doctor on the mainland. So after setting a small fire and getting everyone away from the gate, he takes his sick mother and goes to the mainland to find the doctor and get her help. Throughout the journey they meet people and sadly watch them die, they acquire a baby from an infected woman. When they finally found the doctor, he told Spike’s mother she had cancer. So to the very heartbreaking end, she dies and the baby goes back to the island, while Spike stays on the mainland to explore and get to where you can’t see the sea. Only returning when he decided it was time.
During the movie there were a lot of intense and suspenseful parts, some made me feel like I was on the edge of my seat while others made me curious about what would happen next. I really felt the effect of the way they had the music in the movie set up during the parts that were supposed to be intense and dramatic, but also the times when it needed to be sad and heartbreaking. While watching this movie I liked how I was getting into it and was feeling what I saw. I got sad when the heartbreaking turn came at the end, but in awe during some of the parts during this movie. Overall, I believe that this movie, the rest in the series, and the movies that are yet to come are great and will be good to watch. When I first saw this movie, I was curious about what was going to happen. I didn’t know much just by hearing the name and seeing the cover. So watching the first movies made me get a good feel of what was going on.
After I watched the movie, I had so many emotions and thoughts that were going through my head. I wanted to know what would happen to the baby. I wanted to know what would happen to Spike. I wondered how long he would be staying on the mainland. I was feeling in awe that they made such a great movie and another one to end the series. I still wonder what’s going to happen in the next movie. I’m curious to see what happens to Spike, his father, and the baby in the next movie. I will definitely be watching the next movie in this series when it comes out next year. I definitely think watching the series from start to finish is the best way to watch this movie. Overall, “28 Years Later” is a strong addition to the series. It’s both emotional and intense, making it a must-watch for fans of horror and post-apocalyptic thrillers. If you haven’t seen the earlier films, catching up on them first will make this one even better.
