As the year comes to an end, the Class of 2025 is counting down the days until they graduate. Until then, there are a few upcoming senior activities that you definitely don’t want to miss.
This Friday, May 2, is the annual LHS Senior Sunset Celebration. The event takes place from 7:00-10:00 pm and is a special event to celebrate the Class of 2025. Rain or shine, Liberty High School hopes that all seniors will be able to attend the free event full of fun outdoor activities, including a mechanical bull, a rock wall, yard games, a photo booth, yearbook signing, and t-shirt making, as well as an inflatable obstacle course and jousting arena! The Senior Sunset Celebration also includes raffle drawings for the seniors and includes items like gift cards, mini fridges, AirPods, and more! In order to participate, you must turn in the waiver form signed by your parent/guardian.
Next Friday, May 9, is the LHS Senior Picnic day. The event is an all-day event from 7:30 am to 2:30 pm. The mandatory senior assembly will take place in the morning to discuss details about graduation, complete the state survey, watch the senior video, and take a class photo in caps and gowns. Afterwards, the seniors will partake in a celebratory parade at Grace Miller Elementary School. Then, the seniors will attend the senior picnic at Crockett Park. Tickets for the senior picnic must be purchased through the Finance Office in order to attend the senior picnic and cost $15.
Tuesday, May 20, is the mandatory graduation practice. Graduation practice begins at 7:30 am, and seniors must attend practice in order to participate in the graduation ceremony on May 22. This is a chance for seniors to find their places in line for graduation as well as ensure that their name is pronounced correctly. Graduation practice will be held here at the school.
