On April 28, Liberty hosted its annual Senior Celebration for the class of 2023 in the gym after inclement weather moved the festivities inside.

The celebration in the gym included games, food, raffles, and music, ending the night outside with fireworks.

Liberty raises and collects donations from the community to fund the celebration and other events every year.

Games featured at the event were a moon bounce obstacle course, monster dry slide moon bounce, joust moon bounce, 9-hole mini golf, corn hole, soccer, connect 4, football nets, and more.

This year was the first time ever the event was inside. The event was moved inside due to the rainy weather, which took away some of the traditional outdoor activities like the hot air balloon and the Carousel ice cream truck.

Chick-fil-A, the Kona ice truck, and various other food items were served inside at the concessions stand.

Nostalgic music was played from recent years in the gymnasium by Mr. Pat Frazer. His playlist served as a musical journey through the classes student careers. He started the year they were in kindergarten and worked his way to this year.

Seniors had their last full day of school on Friday, May 12. Graduation will be at Jiffy Lube Live on Thursday, May 18 at 7 pm.
