As graduation approaches, Liberty senior Aldo Hernandez is preparing to leave behind the friendships and memories that shaped his high school experience while looking ahead to a future in real estate. Like many seniors, Aldo has spent the past few years figuring out what he wants for his future, as well as looking back on the things and people that helped him along the way.
“A couple months ago I’d say I wasn’t ready to graduate,” Aldo explainus. “But now that I look at it, I feel much better now and am more confident and prepared.”
After high school, Aldo plans to partake in a trip to the infamous ski resort, Massanutten with his friends before focusing on his future career goals. He is planning to attend Nova for his first two years of college and then hopefully transfer to UVA, in Charlottesville. His main ambition is to work in real estate. “At the moment, I plan to get a license in real estate. I’ll start off with residential, and then eventually move onto commercial.”
Although graduation can feel overwhelming, Aldo is excited about the opportunities ahead of him. “This next phase, I think I’m most excited about seeing what I can actually accomplish,” he said. “For the past several years I’ve been trying to figure out what I”m exactly going to do. Now that the time has come, I’m incredibly excited for it.”
Beyond college and career plans, Aldo is also making time to celebrate the friendships he built throughout high school. He plans to attend a senior gathering hosted by a close friend named Evan Perry, who is also graduating. While he has not yet taken his senior pictures, Aldo has had his graduation outfit picked out for the past two months –khakis, a Vineyard Vines polo, and brown belt matched with brown loafers.
Aldo looks towards his future, and he hopes to achieve major personal and financial success while accomplishing the goals he has set for himself. He dreams of becoming successful, owning a nice expensive house and a Ferrari 488 Pista, plus building a lovely family one day.
Outside of his goals, Aldo claims friendships have played a huge role in shaping him to be the person he is today. “I think everyone in my life has shaped the person I am today. I’d love to keep all my friends, especially the ones I see regularly. I’m most sad about leaving them all, although I still believe we will remain close.”
As graduation day approaches, Aldo Hernandez is stepping into adulthood with confidence, ambition, and gratitude for the friendships and experiences that shaped his journey at Liberty High School.
